The Peacock’s Tale is the first in the Oriental Tales series, and is designed to be highly customisable, so each knitter can tell their own tale.
Adaptable, modular, and fun, this is a pattern that wants to be played with.
Begin with the smallest feathers, progressing through larger and more lacy feathers as you please. Then end the tale either with straight feathers radiating outward, (as in my sample), or by working alternating points, creating a fan of feathers with shimmering eyelets.
Beading optional.
Ideal for gradients, long colour changing yarns, solids and semi-solids.
Tested in a range of lace to heavy fingering.
Written and charted. Can be worked entirely from either the written pattern, or charts with notes.
Pattern rows are worked on the right side only.
