In the haze of an early summer morning, before the whole world awakes, you’re taking the early train out. Walking down the country lane, glad to have packed light, and grateful for the breezy summer top that lets you feel the cool air.

Tee is worked in the round from the neck down with romantic lace detailing on the softly rounded neckline, and eyelets at the bottom hem and sleeve cuff.
For a better fit, short rows are worked across the back and shoulders to gently drop the neckline in the front. Darts on the front and back add shape at the waist. For a less fitted look, some or all of the shaping can easily be omitted.
I really liked working with this cotton wool blend yarn. The cotton gives the yarn drape but the wool content gives it structure and prevents the usual relaxing and stretching that are often found in cotton yarns. No only is the wool/cotton blend soft and feels nice against the skin, but it is also entirely made in the US. Both the wool and the cotton are grown in Virginia, where they are also processed and spun by Cestari Yarn Co.

24 st & 38 rows = 4” on US #4(3.25mm) needles in stockinette stitch, blocked

Notions
6 stitch markers in various colors (1 EoR, 4 raglan increases/waist darts color A, 1 color B)
