These mittens are meant to be worn! Long densely cabled backs keep out the cold, a brioche seed stitch adds a cushy grip to the palms, thumbs are stockinette for flexibility, and the thumb shaping is part welt part flap for a comfortable, excellent fit.

Choose to knit the medium-length version – well past the wrist, or the longer, fifteen-inch version. Add an optional Latvian braid to the cuffs for a tidy finish (shown on medium mitten).
