About the blanket: This blankets structure is very similar to my Persian Dreams Worsted – it is also made of 24 hexagons, seamed together after they are knit. However, in Snowflake, each hexagon is different (of course!).
Snowflake is designed using two yarn colors – a dark blue background and a white contrast. You will need about 2,500 yards of main color (navy) and about 1,500 yards of contrast color (white). Before you cast on be SURE to knit a swatch for gauge, using both yarns, and wash it to test for colors bleeding! In a high contrast project like this, bleeding can ruin it!
