An elongated shawlette which sits easily on the shoulders, with a simple pattern of snowflakes that descend into a flurry in the border where they become icicles. A quick to make shawl in two sizes, the medium size having a deeper border. It can be made using a mohair and silk blend for a cosy winter accessory or in a smooth silk or wool yarn that would suit either casual or dressier wear.
It is worked top down and is fairly easy to knit, with an easily memorised lace pattern and would suit an adventurous beginner or intermediate knitter.
The detailed instructions (7 pages) are fully written as well as charted throughout, together with instructions for beading for those new to this.
