This traditional tammy is my TKGA Master Hand Knitting Program final hat design. It features a cable cast on for a firm but flexible edge; 1×1 corrugated rib; a peerie, border, border, peerie configuration; and finally a patterned wheel of seven sections. Coordinating mitts are included. Sheep Craig is a high promontory on the southeast portion of the Shetland Island of Fair Isle.
The tammy is worked in one size and fits head circumference 20.5-23”/52-58 cm.
The mitts are worked in one size and fit 7”/18 cm hand circumference.
One skein of each of the following colors is needed for either the tammy or mitts: #160 midnight, #170 fjord, #410 cornfield, #182 buttercup, #1190 burnt umber and #129 loganberry
Notions include (2) st markers, and 10” plate or tam frame
