This lovely Shawl pattern was inspired by the Painted Ladies of San Francisco. They are the beautiful and colorful Victorian House row houses, each with its own elegant, decorative trim.

The pattern is charted. The shawl body is knit, then the elegant, Victorian lace borders are added. It is possible, but not recommended, to knit the borders at the same time.
