Comfort and ease with a modern edge. Faux mini-cables grace the front of the pullover while stockinette stitch on the sleeves and back keep the knitting easy. A split hem that’s lower in the back both slims and keeps you covered, and the relaxed fit gives you a casual feel without being too oversized.
The modified raglan shaping is designed to minimize slippage that sometimes occurs with traditional raglans. This sleeve initially behaves a more like a saddle shoulder near the neck, then a traditional raglan, and finally mimics a bit of a set-in sleeve to keep it stable on your shoulders.
The fit is roomy without being oversized, and the faux cable pattern has a bit of stretch and touch of lace to it. It is recommended that you make 2 separate swatches for the stockinette st and the faux cables to check gauge since swatching one pattern above the other can affect accuracy.
Gauge: 18 sts & 28 rows/4” in stst and 23 sts & 28 rows/4” in the faux cable pattern (after blocking) on size 6 (4 mm) needle (or size to obtain gauge).
