The high desert sun kisses the chaparral, and gives the air a warm hazy glow. The blooms of sage and rabbit brush are long faded, but instead of falling to the ground, stay on the scrub, making each bush into its own dried flower arrangement. In amongst golden hues, low-growing red brush stretches across the ground, a slash of vivid color.
My own RedBrush–knit in vivid red–is a semi-circlular shawl with shoulder shaping. Nupps decorate the branches and twigs, and the shawl grows larger with organic increases.
