In the Library with the Candlestick

$11.00

Mosaic Lace is a combination of knitting stripes, slipping stitches, and working lace. You are only working with one strand of yarn at a time – no carrying yarn across the rows. The slipped stitches create an illusion of fancy colorwork and the way they interact with the increases and decreases of lace develop fun and interesting patterns.

The instructions are provided both fully written out and with supplementary colorwork lace charts for those who prefer charts.

You will need two contrasting colors to create your piece (solid or semi-solid yarns in the same yarn base will give you the best results). The sample was knit in the amazing new merino/cashmere/sparkle yarn from Anzula Lucero. It is a DK weight yarn with a little something extra.

If you are not a sparkle kind of person Anzula Cricket is the same luxurious base with Nylon instead of the sparkle. If you want a hint of sparkle you could use one of each base and they will work fine together.
