IPAs (India Pale Ales) are an incredibly popular style of beer right now. West Coast IPAs, including double and even triple IPAs, are the darlings of many of our local breweries. Think over the top bitterness from the brewer’s choice of hops blend — these are not subtle beers!
IBUs (International Bittering or Bitterness Units) can range from 40 to 160+ across different varieties of IPAs, though West Coast IPAs start closer to 80-90+.
ABV (alcohol by volume) can range from 6+% to over 10% when you get to the double and triple IPAs.
