Ho’okipa is a pretty crescent shaped shawlette named after beautiful beach on Maui were surfers and windsurfers gather to ride ocean waves. Ho’okipa is worked sideways in one piece. Stockinette stitch body is shaped by series of increases and decreases. A lovely lace and twisted stitch border runs along the bottom edge, which also lends itself to beading.
The size can be easily changed by adding more repeats of lace border.
