This charted pattern combines 3 variations of one lace motif to create an asymmetrical parallelogram of dramatic waves. The chart is 40 rows and the shawl is 120 stitches wide. It’s an advanced project – be prepared to p2tog tbl.
This sample was knit on 3.5mm/US4 needles using 3.5 balls (approx. 800yds/730m) of Rowan Kidsilk Haze 632 Hurricane.
Dimensions of finished shawl: a parallelogram 68in/172cm by 22in/56cm. The short ends flare out to 24in/61cm.
Along with the original version of the pattern the pdf also includes two additional versions of the pattern: a mirrored version, and a mirrored version with plain WS rows, both of which are a little bit less challenging than the original.
