“Foglie e Cardi” means “Leaves and Thistles” in Italian, and this shawl features lace motifs that resemble both. It is worked from the top down, starting with a garter tab, and has both charted and written directions.
The following skills are needed to knit this shawl:
- provisional cast on
- picking up stitches along a garter edge (for garter tab)
- working lace stitches from charted or written directions
In addition to the yarn and needles that give you gauge, you will need a yarn needle to weave in ends and four stitch markers to complete the pattern.
