Yvonne Eyer (RedHatKnitter on Ravelry) was a test knitter for me, a member of my Pins & Lace club, a member of my Ravelry group, and an avid lace knitter. I had the privilege of meeting her once at Yarnover in Minneapolis, and her enthusiasm was contagious. Last year she passed away, and the knitting world lost someone special.

This shawl, filled with forget-me-nots, is a celebration of her life and passion. It begins with a shallow half circle, and ends with a knitted on edging. And in-between there’s plenty of lacy goodness. I think Yvonne would have loved knitting it.
