Evelyn means much “wished for child” and though this cardigan is not a child I have been wanting one like this for awhile and somehow the name seems fitting. Cables add wonderful structural details to garments, like the cable on the back that starts out as a braid then moves into single rope like cables giving structure to the back pleat.

The yoke of this cardigan is fitted while the back pleat adds ample room to body making it like a swing jacket. This also makes it flattering and very comfortable to wear. It will surely be a versatile addition to your wardrobe.

I designed it with Blue Sky Alpaca Extra, a blend of baby alpaca and merino wool. This was my first time working with this yarn and I was thrilled with it! It is a wonderful yarn that is very soft and has a lovely drape perfect for this design.
