Cuckoo Waltz was designed for using any fingering weight yarn in two colours. It is a top down, crescent shaped shawl that is easy to knit and easy to wear. A garter stitch body leads to a beaded, contrast lace panel and more garter stitch provides a solid ending with a contrast row a couple of rows before the bind off. Simple and elegant – just the job for those summer nights!

The original Cuckoo Waltz was worked in two skeins of Silk/Linen fingering weight yarn. This pattern is suitable for most fingering weight yarns – choose your favourite yarn or here is a list of in a similar composition (all with some linen for a fabulous summer feel) Handmaiden Fine Yarns Flyss, DyeDianaDye FlaxenSilk fingering, Lichtfaden Edition Alpaca Silk Linen Fingering, Walk Collection Linea, Triskelion Mona and Five Moons Mani LinSilk.

Finished dimensions – 75” (190cm) wide, 21” (53.5cm) deep. This pattern is written as one size but is easily enlarged or reduced further as the number of main body repeats can be adapted to suit your needs.
