This sweet capelet is my daughter’s favorite from the Gansey Kids e-book. It could not get over her shoulders fast enough when I was knitting it. The Coastal Capelet is worked in the round from the top down. The collar is worked in single rib with eyelets midway. The yoke and body feature a zig-zag seed stitch pattern, perfect for showcasing tonal hand-dyed yarn like Studio DK. A simple I- cord is threaded through the eyelets as a ribbon to cinch in the collar. This feminine little poncho looks both sweet with a dress and comfy-casual with a tee and jeans.
