I love the clothes from The Slow Wardrobe; they are comfortable, easy to wear, easy to care for and make for a relaxed life. I have created a shawl to accompany these fabulous clothes and named it Candlefordas a nod to Flora Thompson who wrote the trilogy ‘Larkrise to Candleford’. Flora lived in Grayshott for a time, where The Slow Wardrobe is based, and wrote about her time there in her novel ‘Heatherly’.

Candleford is a top down, crescent shaped shawl offering the option of either a stocking stitch body or an all-over lace design. Originally designed to be knit in Tall Yarns LayerCake Linen Lace, though it is suitable for any yarn of the same weight, it is incredibly simple to make and stylish to wear.
