Beachcomber is a very adaptable shawl. A plain, stocking stitch, body evolves into bands of shell-like lace patterning and is finished off with a very simple lace border. A scattering of beads highlight the lace. The pattern offers the opportunity to make either a two-colour shawl or, alternatively, a one colour version. Using two skeins of yarn, two different colours, same base, Beachcomber is a simple yet effective shawl. The original, the two-colour version, was worked using two skeins of DyeDianaDye SeaSilk fingering. This pattern includes instructions for a one colour version and suggestions for alternative versions using additional colours. Beachcomber is perfect for using the remaining yarn from your Tinsmith shawl!
