A Shawl for Ann is a fun and colorful addition to any wardrobe and a perfect little quick-to-knit gift for your best friend or yourself. Designed for a dear friend’s special birthday, the shawl’s graceful lines make the most of these beautiful gradient yarn colors in a versatile crescent that wraps itself effortlessly around the shoulders like a hug.
To keep things simple and to let colors of the yarn shine, the shawl is worked in one piece from the bottom edge and is shaped with a set of easy short rows. A mix of basic stitches, a little bit of lace and a little bit of texture, come together in a project that is as much fun to work on as it is to wear.
Note about the yarn ends:
Because of the crescent construction method, it is not possible to always change the many gradient yarn color skeins along an edge. I used splicing to connect the yarn tails as invisibly as possible, the splices look like slightly thicker sections of yarn.
