Erica Jackofsky (Fiddle Knits)

I knit. I dye yarn. I do what I love for a living and I am thankful for this every day.

I’ve been pursuing an artistic lifestyle for as long as I can remember. At the age of 9 my parents began homeschooling me so I had more time for music. In 1997 we took our family band, The Homegrown String Band, on the road. I took up knitting somewhere in there as a way to kill time stuck in the back seat of an overcrowded minivan and backstage waiting. Knitting helps keep me sane. Most of the time. Sometimes I feel like it might actually be sending me over the edge, but that’s just deadline crunch time talking.

I am grateful for the folks that knit my designs and use my yarns. Without all of you none of this would be happening.
