Through tracing my roots, I’ve become fascinated with the Balkan Peninsula, with its incredible vistas, beautiful islands, and clear aqua waters. rose of the aegean is an homage to that magical place where sea meets land.

The shawl starts with a modified garter tab at the back neck and moves into a leaf pattern. From the leaves a floral shape grows, leading down to the sinuous watery curves of the edging. The bind-off is designed to resemble the foamy waterline of the shore.
