Twisted-stitch lace rockets combine with slender stripes and slip-stitch (mosaic) stars.
This all-American shawl starts at the center and is worked outward (worked “in the round”, but making a flat square), and then, once width is established, each chevron-shaped side is worked to the end, finishing with a swallowtail lace border.
Single-row stripes look good and are worked on circular needles, sliding the fabric from one end of the circs to the other.
Colorwork stars are worked mosaic-style, one color per row using slipped stitches.
