Simee Dimeh (literally double water or double springs) is the native American name of an eastern Sierra Nevada mountain pass in northern Nevada. Right down the road from Dead Horse Flat, it’s the last pass between town and my high desert home near the Antelope Valley.
This shawl uses a set of 7 colors from Miss Babs in concert with texture, lace, and mosaic knitting to produce a colorful and textured homage to northern Nevada and the eastern slope of the Sierras. Read more about my inspiration here on Miss Babs’ blog!
