The Slipper On Socks are the heavyweight companion to the Slip On Socks, and they are a great way to have fun with minis, sock sets, and wild yarns! Grab that busy skein of DK weight sock yarn, choose a couple of minis that go with it, and work this fun and easy slipped-stitch pattern to bring them all together. Excellent for using up impulse-buy skeins and leftovers, these socks are so much more fun than vanilla socks while still being a speedy, TV-knitting-friendly project!
Pattern Description
These socks have an all-over seamlessly-spiralling slipped-stitch pattern that uses elongated stitches and no-cable-needle cables for a stretchy fit with intuitive patterning. The contrast cuff and toe colours extend into the leg and foot with easy helical striping colourwork for a fun additional twist! They have an afterthought heel (with optional short-row afterthought gusset shaping directions available) and they have a twisted-rib cuff that flows neatly into the leg patterning. Knit toe-up, the pattern is written for three adult sizes and the foot lengths are completely adjustable to fit.
This pattern requires the knitter to be able to knit a small circumference in the round (the pattern is method-neutral to suit your preferred technique for socks). Corresponding written instructions are provided for the charts. It clearly explains all techniques required, and video resources are linked for many of the required techniques.
