Posthaste adverb with all possible speed

In addition to my well documented weakness for speckled yarns, I am absolutely convinced knitted accessories are more fun in sets. So once I wrangled one skein of this delightful bit of speckled goodness into a hat, I was pretty much destined to turn another skein into a pair of mitts.

The mitts use all the same speckle taming techniques as the hat (giving the yarn a nice big stretch of stockinette to show off on, making sure the more adorned bits stick to strong lines so they don’t fight with the yarn). But along the way they let that lovely diagonal line wrap itself around your wrist and spin off a thumb in a really rather delightful fashion.
