This crescent-shaped shawl made my husband think of spring planting…thus the name! It has undulating rows of what looks like turned soil and planted seeds amidst sections of meadows. It uses two colorways that should contrast enough to show off the rows well. There is a small section of Turkish Stitch followed by a picot bind off. It adds a nice ruffle effect. Approximately the same amount of each yarn is used.
The pattern begins at the small pointy end and increases every row but decreases every right-side row, creating a crescent shape. The wide end is where the airy lace completes the shawl.
