Sake combines simple cables narrowing into hourglass-shaped tracery patterns. The sock is knit from the top down with a slipped stitch heel. Sake is lovely in a variegated yarn, but if you want to highlight the stitch pattern, please consider using a solid, semi-solid or light colored variegated yarn.
Pattern is charted for ease of following and has an 18-stitch pattern repeat. Sake provides a great opportunity to learn how to cable without a cable needle.
