This crescent shaped shawl follows the turtles’ journey from sand to sea. The number of turtles in the hatching is up to you! The shawl is worked from the top down beginning with a textured stockinette stitch. After your turtles are knit, the edging is knit on side to side.

There are two finished size options: Small, approximately 46” wide x 16” deep (116 x 41 cm) or Large, approximately 63” wide x 17” deep (160 x 43 cm).

Required skills:
This is an intermediate or very adventurous beginner pattern. The turtles require a variety of increases and decreases as well as some small cables. All patterns are charted as well as written.

This shawl may be worked with lighter or heavier weight yarns. If you change the yarn weight, make sure that your choose a needle size that gives you the drape you desire in the fabric. Yardage requirements will change based on yarn weight and gauge.
