Ravessa Shawl

$10.00

SKU: kCD_SarahJordan_RavessaShawl Categories: , ,

The Ravessa Shawl uses a number of techniques and textures as well as a seamless construction to create a striking accessory.

The shawl starts with the cables-and-lace edging, which is worked back and forth. Then stitches are picked up along the side of the edging and short rows are used to create the body of the shawl. Finally, a two-stitch modified I-cord bind off finishes the top edge.

To knit this pattern, you will need to know how to do the following skills, stitches, and techniques:

  • Provisional cast on (any method)
  • Basic cable and lace stitches worked from a chart or written directions
  • Slipped stitches
  • Basic decreases (k2tog, ssk, centered double decrease)
  • Make 1 increases
  • Short rows using wrap and turn (note: wraps do not need to be picked up on subsequent rows)

The edging is both charted and written.
